It’s officially the month of LOVE, so we’re going to talk about things you can do to fall in love with your home again!
We’re going to bring you tips on how you can create a space that not only impacts your productivity and mood, but that also reflects your personality.
1. Declutter & Donate
The best thing to tackle first and foremost – decluttering! Clutter is good for just about one thing: stressing us out and weighing us down both physically and emotionally.
Take control of the clutter by getting rid of the things you don’t love or haven’t had use for in the past year or so.
Once you do this, you will feel so much lighter and you’ll have taken a step closer to a functional and peaceful space.
Want to know some great places to help you in the donation process? Here’s a few of our recommendations:

2. Rearrange the furniture
Moving the furniture is a great way to switch things up and make your home feel like a brand-new space.
In addition to the aesthetic benefits, rearranging the furniture is also great for your mental health. It can spark your creativity, help you adapt to change, and alleviate stress by helping you gain a sense of control over your environment.
3. Embellish/Decor Elements
When decorating and embellishing your space, you should opt for things that bring you joy and that you feel are a reflection of your personality. These things can be wall art, throw pillows and blankets, curtains, candles, little knick knacks – whatever makes you feel cozy and at home. Draw on elements, colors, and shapes that create joy for you. Maybe this is organic elements like baskets and cork, or bright and vibrant-colored furniture and art.
Why is this important? Surrounding yourself with the things you love is what will make you feel happy, motivate you, and fall in love with your space all over again.
4. Add some color
Add a splash of your favorite color(s) to brighten up your space. Whether it’s with a whole new paint color, a new wallpaper, or even a new rug – small changes can make the biggest difference in both the feel of the space and your mood.
5. Consider adding mirrors to expand the space
Adding mirrors is the best way to open up a space and make it feel bigger. One of the best places to hang a mirror is across from a window to add a little more natural light.
To add an even more personal touch, opt for a mirror with a colored or decorated frame that adds to the vibe of your space.
6. Consider adding mirrors to expand the space
Add some life to your space by embellishing with plants and/or flowers. Plants help brighten up any interior, and certain plants can actually purify the air and provide amazing scents.
